Checks normally the Locks. And shows u something like this:
This is an frozen mobile.
- no changes to Firmware (AMSS.MBN) possible
But unfrozen mobiles can be identify by this:
1. AMSS.MBN can modified
Example: Removing Camera Click
2. Fieldtest Key or Production Key is not important, u can use both.
3. No Mastercode, Phonecode, no Blocks :tx
Generally those mobiles are prototypes/samples. Found and confirmed: SG75, SXG75, EF81, EF82, E81, SL91, SF71...
Strange... We have same problems in Europe. Where sells BenQ Taiwan?
My SF71 is only prototype...
Never seen Retail Version of SF71. :( Also never E81 Retail...
@ nbcd
Not sure what you mean? I mean that "unfrozen" mobiles can do much more then frozen devices...
Unfrozen means free for Developer, NO Restrictions like Fieldtest or Production Key Firmware...

Sorry. Sometimes I have some technical problems to answer... Because I don't understand all chinese warning messages.

This is means maybe some security softwares in your computer(eg: Norton Internet Security) forbid some messages to the forum.
Also, I'll ask some questions:
1. Does EF81 support EDGE?
2. What does "prototype" really mean?
3. How to help EF81 to support Chinese characters input for Java without making some changes in Jars?
1. Edge
I'm not sure, but I would say NO.
2. Prototype means an sample. Maybe not 100% identical with Retail Endproduct.
Normally not for sale.
3. This would be very, very hard. Chinese Input needs extra Font, which is not supported by normal EF81 Firmware.
To add it generally. Two "possible" ways:
1. Add BREW App
2. Change Firmware
Both ways at the moment "impossible"... for us. We need the Help of BREW Developer. Or we can't never upgrade...
So only JAVA Midlets with chinese Font can display and use chinese Language.
