先详细介绍一下普利策奖。

普利策奖(Pulitzer Prizes)是美国一种多项的新闻、文化奖金，由美国著名的报纸编辑和出版家约瑟夫·普利策出资设立。　

　　普利策1868年开始从事新闻工作，他的一生对美国报纸的发展有着较大的影响，被人们誉为创办现代美国报纸的先驱者和示范者。1903年，普利策写下遗嘱，决定出资兴办哥伦比亚新闻学院和建立普利策奖金，由哥伦比亚大学董事会掌管他遗赠的基金。1911年10月　29日普利策逝世。根据他的遗嘱，1912年开办了哥伦比亚新闻学院，1917年起设立了普利策奖。

　　普利策奖包括新闻奖和艺术奖两大类，其中新闻奖主要有：公共服务奖、报道奖、社论奖、漫画奖、批评评论奖、通讯奖、特写奖、新闻摄影奖等；文学艺术奖有小说奖、戏剧奖、诗歌奖、美国历史作品奖、自传或传记奖和非小说作品奖；音乐作曲奖1项。另外，还颁发2项特别奖。美国普利策奖的奖金为7500美元，但获得公众服务贡献奖的报道不得奖金，获奖的报社将得到一枚普利策金牌。

　　普利策当初遗赠的基金为50万美元，后来基金管理机构又筹措了100多万美元。该奖由包括哥伦比亚大学校长在内的16人组成的普利策奖金评选委员会评选，每年一次，评选结果一般都是在4月份中旬的一天由哥伦比亚大学校长宣布，5月份颁奖。

　　首届普利策摄影奖是1942年颁发的。此后，除1946年外，每年颁发一次。从1968年开始，摄影类增设了专题新闻摄影奖，获奖作品通常由一组照片组成。
